Mr. Chamika Weerasinghe

Chairman

Mr. Chamika Weerasinghe is an old Nalandian, a veteran in the Banking and finance field since 2000. His knowledge in Finance Acumen, Risk Management, Strategic planning, Stakeholder Relations and Crisis Management have immensely contributed to the industry. He possesses both local and overseas exposure in leading financial organizations. His services at Seylan Bank PLC, DFCC Bank PLC, NDB, Commercial Credit and Finance PLC have been remarkable. Mr Weerasinghe is a board member of Lanka Micro Finance Practitioners’ Association since 2019. He is a Business Management graduate from the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura and an MBA holder from Manipal University, India. He holds a Diploma in Banking and Finance from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL).

Mr. Dinesh Siriwardana

Deputy Chairman

Mr. Dinesh Siriwardana is an accomplished finance professional who began his career in 2006. He brings expertise in Strategic Planning, Product Development, Relationship Marketing, and Agile Leadership, with emphasis on innovation, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth. He has extensive experience in SME, Corporate, Project, Agriculture, Hire Purchase, Lease, and Microfinance, holding senior roles at Ceylinco Grameen and Commercial Credit and Finance PLC. A Certified Career Counsellor, he holds an Honorary Doctorate from Commonwealth Peace University and an MBA from Leeds Trinity University. He’s also Managing Director of Hunters Wood Cabins, Executive Director of Kansilu Hotels, and Provincial Director of the Freedom Human Rights Association.

Ms. Malka Samayamanthri

Non-Executive Directress & Secretary

Ms. Darshani Malka Samayamanthri is an Attorney-at-Law and Notary Public having over 20 years as a Senior Legal Consultant in Banking and Public sector. She has obtained LLB and LLM Qualified from the University of Colombo. She has worked as a legal professional in the Ministry of Finance, State Mortgage and Investment Bank. She was a Former Directress Legal of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.

Ms. Nadeesha Shayamali

Non-Executive Directress

Ms. Nadeesha Shayamali is a Chartered Valuation surveyor (MRICS-UK) has over 15 years’ experience in Banking and Finance sector. She started her career as an Assistance District Valuer in Government Valuation Department of Sri Lanka. She also engaged with State Mortgage and Investment Bank as an internal valuer. She is a Registered valuer of most renowned Government and Non-government Banks in Sri Lanka. She holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Management and Valuation from University of Sri Jayewardenapura and Bachelor of Science in Estate Management and Valuation in the same University. She is also a professional member of Institute of Valuers of Sri Lanka (IVSL).

Mr. Buddhi Jayakody

Non-Executive Director

Mr. Buddhi Jayakody is a Senior Automotive Engineer has over 25 years’ experience in Public and private sector. He started his career as a Mechanical Instructor in Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) Katubadda. Other than his profession he Participated MG EV training program at SAIC motor company in Shanghai – China and trained at Sangyong motor company piontech, Korea. He was completed very special water base paint training at Valspa Paint Acquisition Pty LTD (debear) at Australia. Currently he serves in the senior management of Micro Cars Limited -Sri Lanka.

Mr. Tikiribandara

Non-Executive Director

Mr. Tikiribanda is a highly accomplished entrepreneur with extensive expertise in the gem and jewelry industry. He has gained in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience through rigorous training at some of the most reputed institutions in Sri Lanka, including German Tech, the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewelry Authority, and the Industrial Development Authority. Further strengthening his professional acumen, Mr. Tikiribanda has also completed advanced management curriculums at the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Central Province, equipping him with strategic business insights and leadership skills. In addition to his business ventures, Mr. Tikiribanda plays a pivotal role in delivering training and development programs for both government and non-government institutions, sharing his industry expertise and contributing to the growth of the sector. Mr. Tikiribanda’s excellence and contributions to the industry have been widely recognized. He has received numerous prestigious awards from well-known institutions, including German Tech Sri Lanka, the Chamber of Commerce, and Presidential Awards, reflecting his outstanding achievements and commitment to excellence.
With his vast experience, industry knowledge, and dedication to training and development, Mr. Tikiribanda continues to be a driving force in the gem and jewelry industry in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Madduma Bandara

Non-Executive Director

Mr. Madduma Bandara is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in public service, training, and community development. He served in the Sri Lanka Army for 12 years, gaining extensive experience in rehabilitation, public relations, and peace and reconciliation training, which strengthened his leadership and conflict resolution skills. Mr. Madduma Bandara has undergone specialized training in Participatory Development and Human Resource Management, enhancing his ability to engage with communities and drive development initiatives effectively. He also completed a comprehensive training on savings for smallholders and women, conducted by the National Development Trust Fund under the Ministry of Finance and Planning, focusing on promoting financial literacy and participatory development. Further strengthening his professional profile, Mr. Madduma Bandara completed a Certificate Course in Paralegal Studies from the Sri Lanka Law Commission (14th Batch – 2022), equipping him with a solid understanding of legal frameworks and processes. His commitment to social betterment extends to training in human rights, community water and water management, spiritual development, and counseling, enabling him to address complex social challenges with empathy and insight. In the business arena, Mr. Madduma Bandara has also received training in sales, marketing research, and internal and external communication, making him well-versed in market dynamics and effective stakeholder engagement. With his rich experience, diverse skill set, and dedication to personal and community development, Mr. Madduma Bandara continues to make a significant impact in both professional and social spheres.

Mr. Amila Katuwawala

Chief Executive Officer


Mr. Amila Katuwawala is a proud product of Ananda College, counts over 20 years of experience in the banking and finance sector and is a specialist in credit approval, credit administration and recoveries, credit risk, product development, strategic planning, lending operations, and training and development. He commenced his career at DFCC Bank and held leadership positions in credit and operations at Orient Finance PLC, ICICI Bank, Softlogic Finance PLC and PMF Finance PLC. He holds an MBA from the Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK and a Diploma in Credit Management from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL).

Mr. Yasas Ariyarathna

Deputy General Manager - Business Development & Fixed Deposits, Savings Operations

Mr. Ariyarathna joined SLCCB in November 2023 and is currently responsible for Business Development on Fund Mobilization Fixed Deposits and Savings Operations of the bank. He counts over 28 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, Banking and Insurance and has undergone extensive local and overseas training. He started his career at Bank of Ceylon and has held key positions in AIA Insurance PLC and PMF Finance PLC. He is a Certified Member of Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) and a Certified NLP Practitioner (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) under the American Board of NLP. In additions, he holds the qualifications of MBA from Buckinghamshire New University, UK, Professional Graduate Diploma in Strategic Management in EDhat Internationa, UK, Diploma in Insurance from University of Wayamba, Diploma in Journalism from University of Colombo and a Diploma in Development Psychology from INDETH Institute. He has completed the Agency Management Training Programme conducted by LIMRA International, USA.

Mr. Tharanga Rajapaksha

Senior Manager - Fund Mobilization


Mr. Rajapaksha is strengthening the SLCCB Management team as the Senior Manager- Fund Mobilization and counts over 20 years of experience in finance industry with a specialty in Fund Mobilizing. He commenced his career with Ceylinco Leasing Company and continued with CIFL and Commercial Credit and Finance PLC. He has become a Customer Relationship Management icon handling a high-net-worth clientele at SLCCB.

Mr. Nisal Chathuranga

Senior Manager - Business Development

Mr. Chathuranga joined SLCCB as Manager – Operations and currently performing as Senior Manager – Business Development. He started his career in 2016 at Commercial Credit and Finance PLC. Over the past 7 years, he has gained a vast experience in Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Recoveries, and Branch Operations and has resulted him the ability to build a strong team-based culture. He holds a Bachelor Performing Art (BPA) degree from the University of Visual & Performing Arts, Colombo. He has completed the Advanced Professional Diploma in Credit Management from Sri Lanka Institute of Credit Management and the Advanced Diploma in Marketing Management at Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). He is currently reading for a Postgraduate Executive Diploma in Bank Management at Institute of Bankers Sri Lanka (IBSL).

Mr. Ishara Priyadarshana

Senior Manager - Human Resources and Administration

Mr. Priyadarshana is a distinguished professional with a career spanning over 12 years, characterized by significant contributions across the Finance, Retail, Media and Hospitality sectors. He started his career journey in 2011 at Bartleet Finance PLC and has progressively advanced through managerial positions at Softlogic Finance PLC, PMF Finance PLC and Ben Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, demonstrating leadership and expertise in diverse organizational settings. Mr. Priyadarshana possesses extensive knowledge in Human Resources Management, Administration and Operations. He holds Masters in Business Management (MBM) from University of Colombo, Professional Qualifications in Human Resources Management (PQHRM) from Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Intermediate Level at Association Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT), Diploma in Business Management at E-Soft Metro Campus, highlight a commitment to staying abreast of industry best practices. Also, he is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) and Association of Human Resources Professionals (AHRP).

Ms. Chathurika Wijesinghe

Senior Manager - Finance

Ms. Chathurika is a dynamic and results-driven finance professional with a proven track record in Financial Management, Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and Risk Analysis. With extensive experience in leading financial operations across multiple industries, she has held key positions at Carekleen Pvt Ltd, RV Fashion Pvt Ltd, MMN De Silva & Company, and Ekvin Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. Her expertise spans Financial Reporting, Strategic Financial Planning, and Regulatory Compliance, Making her a trusted leader in the field. Chathurika holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Certificate in Banking & Finance from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. She is a member of AAT Sri Lanka and an Associate Member of the Institute of Public Accountants (Australia) and the Institute of Financial Accountants (UK). Currently in the final stage of Chartered Accountancy in Sri Lanka, Chathurika continues to elevate her expertise, ensuring businesses achieve financial excellence, compliance, and long-term stability.

Mr. Prasad Fernando

Senior Manager - Recovery

Mr. Fernando provides strategic oversight of the entire recovery operations at Sri Lanka Citizens Co-operative Bank. With over 26 years of experience in the finance industry, he specializes in marketing, recovery, and legal operations. He began his career as a Marketing Officer at Seylan Merchant Bank Ltd. and has since held numerous key positions in the financial sector. Notably, he spent over 12 years at People’s Merchant Finance PLC (PMF), where he served as Regional Recovery Manager for the Southern Region in his last five years, leading all recovery operations in that area.

Ms. Manori Wijesekara

Manager - Credit and Operation

Ms. Wijesekara counts over 16 years of experience in the Finance sector and is a specialist in Credit Approval, Credit Administration, Recoveries, Product Development, Lending Operations and Training & Development. She commenced her career at Orient Finance PLC and held positions in Credit and Operations at Asia Asset Finance PLC, Softlogic Finance PLC and PMF Finance PLC. She holds Advance Diploma and Finance Management Accounting at National Institute of Business Management (NIBM) and a Diploma in Credit Management from Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL). She has also completed the Certificate Course at Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT).

Mr. Sagara Premasiri

Manager - Internal Audit

Mr. Premasiri is a seasoned finance professional with over 12 years of experience in the finance sector, specializing in internal auditing. He began his career as a Trainee Internal Auditor at Central Finance and went on to hold key positions at PMF Finance PLC and Alliance Finance PLC. He has earned multiple qualifications, including the Diploma in Applied Banking and Finance, Diploma in Internal Audit from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) and the Diploma in Physiology & Counselling from SITC. Additionally, he has completed the Audit Command Language (ACL) Foundation 101 Training Program in Malaysia. Mr. Premasiri is currently pursuing an MBA at Asia e University in Malaysia. He is also advancing his professional qualifications by reading for the Strategic Level of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.

Mr. Bharatha Manjula

Consultant - Human Resources, Administration & Operation

Mr. Bharatha is an outcome-oriented Human Resources specialist who has worked in various Senior Management positions in local and international reputed organizations, to assist companies in achieving sustainable business growth and a positive operating culture for the last 22 years. Key capabilities in IT, Quality Management, Change Management, Administrations, Human Resources and Dispute Resolutions. He holds a MSc in HRM from University of Gloucestershire, UK and a Postgraduate Diploma in HRM from QUALIFI, UK and has completed the Certificate Course in Personnel Management at CIPM. He is an Associate Member of the Ceylon Hotel School Graduate Association (CHSGA), an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), a Certified Internal Assessor of TATA Quality Management Services (TQMS), India and a Certified Departmental Trainer of Taj Group of Hotels, India. He started the hospitality career at Taj Group of Hotels and held key head positions in Lotus Hospitality Group in Dubai, U.A.E, Reed Lanka Holdings Pvt. Ltd, Bartleet Finance PLC, Softlogic Finance PLC and PMF Finance PLC. Currently he is performing as the Chief Executive Officer of Purewin Group and Consultant – HR at Decent Trust Holding (Pvt) Ltd. In addition, he is a Member of the Inspection Team to carryout inspections on Tourism and Hospitality establishments in coordination with the Standards & Quality Assurance Division of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) and serves as the Director – Finance for the Freedom Human Rights Organization (FHRO), Gampaha District. Had undergone various Training Programmes in HR, Learning & Development, Business Excellence (Quality Management), Sales & Marketing in locally & overseas. He is the First Sri Lankan qualified as an Internal Assessor of TATA Quality Management Services (TQMS), India and Best Performer of the Postgraduate Diploma in HRM.

Mr. Gangadharan Murrlidhar

Consultant - Gold Loan

Mr. Murrlidhar has over 38 year’s experience in Gold business, specifically Gold Loan, Pawning & Auctioning. Having thorough knowledge in Gold Trading (gold jewelery manufacturing, wholesale, retail, refining, and gold purchasing). In addition, he has knowledge in precious and semi-precious Gems identification, purchasing and sales. He commenced his career as Sales Manager at Subani Jewels, Colombo and held key positions in Ariyawansa Jewellers and Investments, The Finance Company PLC as Manager Pawning and Head of Gold Loan in Softlogic Finance PLC and Head of Gold Loan Business at Richard Peiris Finance Limited. He was the sole proprietor of S R Jewels Mart, Colombo and Business Partner of S D Jewels Mart, Colombo. Currently he is performing as Assistant General Manager – Gold Business at Purewin Group. He is passionate in Training & Development to upkeep the standards as well as to increase the revenue growth of the company.

Mr. Ashan Jayalath

Information Technology Administrator

Mr. Ashan is a dedicated IT professional overseeing the IT operations at Sri Lanka Citizens Co-operative Bank. With a strong background in networking and system administration, he plays a key role in ensuring smooth operation and the bank’s IT infrastructure. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Networking from IDM Archives International Campus. Currently, he is further enhancing his expertise by pursuing a CISCO certification program, strengthening his knowledge in networking and cybersecurity. Before joining SLCCB, Ashan served as a Senior Executive – IT at Carlos Embellishers (Pvt) Ltd., where he gained hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
